About Amanda

Hi there! I like to know about my clients and I like my clients to know about me. Here's a little information about my background.

I was born and raised in Castle Rock, CO and am a true Coloradan. I realized early on that my passion was for hair design and pursued that by attaining a lot of training.

Education

As a start, I graduated from the Rita B Institute of Cosmetology in 2006 where I was trained by Rita herself, an industry leader for over forty years. As a follow up, I attained a certification for Natressa Hair Extensions, which is a bonded keratin extension. I currently hold this certification and stay current with new trends.

I’m a true believer that there is always more to learn and attend many classes and continually go to the International Beauty Show.

Work Experience

In the past, I have worked at Rita B Dry Creek in Centennial, Rita B Highlands Ranch. Rita offered me a job at her Queen B Salon in Aspen and I was quite honored to have that opportunity, but I chose to stay close to home. I still continue to work closely with Rita, including helping to prep students of the Rita B Institute for their state boards.

In addition, I have worked in other salons in the area, but decided to strike out on my own so that I could create my own hair salon experience - Hair By Amanda!
